Inconsistent & substandard housekeeping, room maintenance issues. Nicer/bigger rooms allocated to lower ranking officers while senior officer billeted in smaller rooms. Computer in billeting office basically unusable. Overall, disappointing and underwhelming. Recommend stay elsewhere especially for $60+ dollars a night. Only upside is proximity to other facilities/school.
Some of the best on base housing while TAD/TDY. Spend a little extra and get one of the nicer rooms. They are all in renovated houses with a shared common living room and full kitchen with stove, oven and full size refrigerator. All have a full size washer and dryer.
Staff was unfriendly and ceilings were so thin that I woke up every time the person above me walked across their room
The staff was friendly and professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a shared kitchen for each duplex, but I didn't use it. There's a small fridge in tbe room. But heads up. As someone who doesn't know the area, it was very hard to find. These units are in a sort of housing complex. A couple streets are misnamed in google maps. My iphone maps were better. Both tried to direct me to a gate that was closed long ago. The actual gate is so surrounded by orange barriers, traffic cones and barrels that if you dont know its there, finding it is painfully difficult at night. The streets wend around and are very dark. The signs are hard to see. The lobby is down the street. The building numbers are not all lit so try finding your unit, then if the key card doesnt work you have to get in the car and drive back. Wasted lots of time finding it. .Next time I come to Norfolk I will stay at the Navy lodge righr on Hampton Ave. or get a hotel. I admit it. I prefer convenience.
Always clean. I love how it includes the kitchen and a washer and dryer.
