Great neighborhood dog park. well stocked with, on site water, waste bags, Dog toys and balls. Benches in the shade and a great view of the river.. I'm new to Lafayette historic neighborhood and this is my favorite place to take my beast.. she loves it and has many "park friends".
My dog loves it there. Every pet parent plays there part picking up after their own pet. When grocery bags become too much I like to drop them off at the park. There is a broad with dog information such as events , medical , and grooming. And friendly people to chat with while your dog meet new friends.
The actual park is great, and everyone I've met has been so nice. Most of the dogs are very well behaved. Except mine was attacked today by a GS. The owner tried to say he would never hurt anyone...with his teeth on my dogs throat nonplayfully. We will still come back because it's so nice there, but watch out for a middle aged, brunette woman with a GS and. Florida plate. It /will/ attack any smaller breeds.
They have doggy bags and toys to use while you're there! Plus a watering spout and bowl for your doggy! Clean benches and a table for us owners to sit. Lovely park.
Dogs are friendly here. Separate child area. Good facility.
