Seems like a decent enough dog park. I come for the playground next door. Children at the playground enjoy watching the dogs and the dog owners are almost universally friendly.
Brodie and Pixie always enjoy this park! It's well maintained, and attended by the nicest fur babies and their parents!
This is the first place I took my pup for his first time at a Dog Park. All of the dogs but one were big dogs while my dog is a Yorkie. He was able to play with the big dogs as if he were one! Dog owners are very attentive and care about the wellbeing of their dogs as well as others. There are water bowls and a little pool/bath for the dogs along with a water hose. There's tons of tennis balls for the pups to play with as well.
Great gathering spot for pet owning neighbors from Colonial Place to take their dogs to play with others. Many donated toys all around. There is a bulletin board advertising local veterinarian services including discounted clinics for keeping your dog well and bags to clean up after your dog when he or she makes a mess. Large water bowl with a well pump to keep your dog hydrated. Great friendly atmosphere. Picnic tables and benches under the trees.
I took my mini dachshund here after going trying out two other dog parks. This dog park does not have a side for small dogs but when I took my dog there, there were really only labradors and golden retrievers so I decided to try it. All the owners were really kind and their dogs were friendly! My dog was soon running around with all the other dogs. Great first experience!
