I cancelled the service before any work had begun in my home. Nothing on my invoice was a special order and everything is housed in their warehouse located directly behind the showroom. There is no legal reason to charge me any additional fees or keep my deposit, thus the grounds for this complaint.
The contract Ms. Tiffany C is referring to was signed on April 13, 2010, and scheduled to install on April 30, 2010. One week before installation, customer called to re-schedule to May 21, 2010. So both parties agreed. However, on May 18, 2010, she called again and requested to re-schedule once again, to month of June, GLOBAL HOME DECOR clarified that material has been purchased oversea and custom made for this order, and she stated that she "really need it to be done" and just want to re-schedule. On June 1, 2010, she called again and said she need to cancel the contract and THREATEN if GLOBAL did not refund full deposit. GLOBAL expressed that since oversea purchase and custom made for this contract would like to finish the contract even with discount and even when the customer has financial difficult. But she insist for refund and continue to threaten. GLOBAL has been in business in Norfolk over four years, such shocking customer really is first-time experience. As good gesture, GLOBAL refund full deposit, however customer continue leaving hatred reviews and feedback.
