Very rude. Don't bother renting a Uhaul, they're unorganized and seem aggravated that you're providing them business or using their parking lot.
Rude and unprofessional. Got mad we parked in a spot that says visitor parking. We offered to move and the lady rolled her eyes and ignored us. She then proceeded to stand in front of our vehicle and bad mouth us thinking we couldn't hear them.
I contacted Johnny Barber's office several times when the flooding started to occur. I never received any call back.
I paid half of the quoted cost upfront and had well over a week to make the final payment. This was evidently not good enough for Johnny Barber's. They send over someone who put an updated bill in my mailbox, knocked on my door and demanded payment right then.
Very nice employees. Explained contract. Vehicle was in pretty good condition for a rental truck.
We were treated great at first. A real dog and pony show. And then......The handicap ramp they put in had one railing nice and straight... The other railing zigged and zagged. The tile the subcontracted out looked great but as it settled the tiles popped. The sunroof they installed leaked because someone forgot to secure a section and no tar on the screw heads or flashing. The shingles were not matching at first and I had to argue with the forman to match them. The walk-in tub was ordered wrong so the tub could not be flush to the wall. They then decided to have it stick out from the wall and used sheetrock instead of backer board to enclose the structure. Months later major black mold issue. Their forman was a compete ass but the brother stepped in and was decent. So they charged a premium price, had major issues during and after the job was done. Even made us feel guilty when asking to correct some of the basics. Imagine all that with a person who has a disability and paying a premium for it. To top it off was the pedestal bathroom sink with the plastic waterlines ran outside the freaking pedestal fully exposed. Seriously... And the one good review was probably written by them. I sure the hell ain't Insane... just disgusted. Yep one star. Well deserved boys!
I told him that I still had several days to make the final payment. I was told that the final payment was due and he was not leaving without it.
Johnny Baber's was hired years ago to install a retaining wall. After the install, the walled-in area would constantly flood when it rained The drainage pipes they charged me for were not installed. Instead, they reused old and clogged landscaping drainage pipes that were already on my property.
Even though I pointed out a stump that was on the property, I was charges $450 extra after the job was done for grinding the stump. This was after signing the contract/work order with a quoted and agreed upon price. I was told that Johnny Barber's was charged $400 for the job, so I guess the extra $50 was their administration fee.
During the delivery of sand/dirt, the truck struck the corner of my house damaging some siding and a drainage gutter. I discovered this only because I came home early on the day it was damaged and found one workman fixing the damage. The gutter was never mentioned as being damaged, but once the rains came, it was obvious that it was damaged due to the way water now dumped over the side of the gutter. Also, the asphalt shingles where the workman rested on to perform the repairs was missing a considerable and noticeable amount of gravel coating.
