I had the mushroom cheese burger and a Grolsch beer and my wife had a burger and unsweet tea. The hostess greeted us at the door and escorted us to our table. Our waitress almost immediately introduced herself and took our order. The burgers were cooked perfectly based on the way we ordered them. The waitress was cheerful and timely. We asked to change the TV to a football game and they obliged. Definitely will eat here again. The only thing I regret is not eating here before now.
My family and I walked in after doing an escape room at Nauticus. The place was empty, with only 2 tables being used. When I told the hostess we had a party of 9, she stared at me for a minute, then asked do we have a reservation. When I told her we did not, she said she needed to speak to her manager, who happened to be in the bathroom right next to the podium. It was a little disturbing that she had a discussion with the manager, through the door of the bathroom. Finally, the manager came out, and again asked if we had a reservation, to which I again replied "No." She told me it would be at least an hour wait. When I looked around the EMPTY restaurant and replied "Are you serious?", she said yes, but there were many restaurants in the area if we did not want to wait. I was dumb-founded. An hour later, after eating at another restaurant, we walked past, and the Shula's was still empty. With management and service like that, I will definitely be happy to go elsewhere.
Got the Shula's New York Strip and was very disappointed. Ordered it medium rare. It came that way, but the steak was grainy and tasted like hamburger. Very dry, and disappointing. Not worth the money. Service was good at the bar. Best thing was the roasted corn side. Companion's mashed potatoes tasted like they were out of the bag. Got a Lagavulin 16 year neat and it was $39!!! Bar tender said it should have been $49 for the pour he gave me! A bottle is just over $100. That's price gouging. I'll never eat at another Shula's again. Terrible place.
Went to dinner with a friend and their 4 year old daughter. Had a wonderful time and experience. Highly recommend the food. Even the little one left a very happy camper!
Worst experience I have had at a high end dining establishment. The waitress only came to drop off food and never asked for us if we wanted refills. The ribeye was terrible, the meat was tough and I had to send it back for being under cooked. I asked for med rare and it was barely seared. I have had better service and steaks from cheap chain restaurant. To add the food took forever and the place was not crowded. Our server said she would not charge us for both steaks but the manager said she would not do that and gave me a ton of attitude about it. Do not go eat here!!
