One of my favorite seafood restaurants. Excellent selection of seafood prepared to perfection great beer and wine selection. Casual atmosphere ads to dining experience. Wait staff very professional yet very friendly. Raw bar is great! Love this restaurant!
This was my second visit, with the first one being two years ago. Happily, it was as amazing as I remembered. The service was impeccable. And the food was even better than that. Even though it's a very small space, we never felt rushed. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you understand the menu and make an informed choice. Your options are limited, but there is something for everyone. Our group tried 3 of the 4 entrees offered that night and every one of them was perfect, especially the house made pasta.
This place was a GREAT FIND. my superintendent told me to find somewhere I wanted to eat. I did a quick google search and this location popped up. I am so glad that we came here. the food was amazing the drinks were great! I have no complaints. I ate shrimp, crabs, spinach, mac and cheese, hush puppies, a salad and a few other sides I cn not remember at the time. but I do remember that everything that was brought to the table got eaten!
We did not receive great service. We came in around 9pm (they closed at 2am), and went up to the bar. The first segment of the bar was being cleaned. We were not going to sit there, but the bartender made sure we didn't by glaring at us as we walked up. Literally, he made eye contact and glared at us. We sat further down where the main part of the bar was. That bartender was efficient, but didn't smile at us. She merely acknowledged our presence. When we were leaving (which was soon since it was so uncomfortable) someone came by with a huge smile and said thanks for coming in. My boyfriend mentioned the fact that she was the first person to smile at us since we arrived. She told us she was the manager and apologized. She then admitted that our bartender had been told that she needed to be more customer friendly, but obviously she needs more work. She asked us to come back and try them again, but we probably won't. There are too many places in the area the provide better service.
If you like oysters this is the place for you. Always a good variety to choose from. If you are a craft beer fan you will not be disappointed. All the food is very good but I really recommend one of the specials from the chalk board.
