Quiet place but great for hanging out with your own group if friends
First, plan for a great pizza and it isn't fast food they make each pizza individually. So enjoy tasting over 40 different draft beers. For me I travel down from Leesburg monthly and this is my standard stop.
Has the potential to be great however it seems they refuse to staff enough workers to make the place function. I have gone twice. Neither time was the place busy however, the first time it took over 15 minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge us, another 15 for our drinks to come and last night we just gave up and left after being the ONLY table for another 15-20 with absolutely zero acknowledgement. It appeared both times, they only had one waitress working. And these were both Friday's. One happy hour time, one late night. I will not be going back unless they step up their service.
Worth the wait.
It comes with great disappointment that I leave a review this negative about a restaurant in downtown Norfolk in which I take great pride in suppoeting the areas local restaurants. In the past my wife and I would go here as the pizza was delicious and beer selection was plentiful. This past Saturday I called to inquire as I was interested in watching the Mayweather vs. Mcgregor fight. They were charging a fair price with drink specials so my brother and I decide to attend. Once entering the restaurant with an open pizza buffet I was confused to find two large dogs walking around the restaurant unleashed and pretty much stalking the pizza bar. For 4 hours I watch numerous people pay the dogs and get food from the pizza buffet, I watched staff pat the dogs and refill the pizza buffet, I watched people uncomfortable with dogs walking freely around a restaurant when they paid to attend an event. I witness the owner of the dog and another customer get into a confrontation as they customer Relayed her dissatisfaction with the dog brushing up against her. That is when i discovered that the dog belonged to an employee working the event. I use to like this place and supported as I was hoping that business would pick up for them. But based on what I witnessed last weekend. I wouldn't touch this place if it was the last restaurant on earth.
Good food, wide selection on tap, great staff. From the management, to the bartenders, to then cooks, an overall great experience. I definitely recommend, especially if you're in the area after midnight when everything else around here is closing up.
