We ate here while on vacation and both the food and the service were the best we have ever had! I have eaten a lot of pizza in my life, (probably too much) and I have to say that Sal's is my favorite. The crust is chewy with a crisp bottom, the sauce is not too sweet and the toppings are just the right amount. I thing the cheese is what made it my new favorite! It had just the right amount of baked in goodness to make it perfect. We ate here a couple of times while in the area and both times the food and the service were great. Even when busy, the server was fast to get to our table and the food came out quickly. We already want to come back just to visit Sal's and try their other menu offerings.
Pizza is very good beef based products (No pork toppings) just need to bring them garlic parmesan wings to life with butter instead of olive oil great customer service
Best pizza in town! Our family ate here and everyone loved the pizza, but what really impressed me was the service. I don't say that often as I eat out a lot and have seen hundreds of pizza restaurants that claim to have the best pizza or the best food around. It is all usually good and what makes the difference is the service. The service at Sal's is exceptional. We felt welcome from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we left. There were 10 of us in our party and that is usually a lot for a restaurant during the dinner rush but our server took very good care of us and the pizza came out to the table hot and fresh. Refills were always there before we needed them and the server even boxed up the rest of our pizza for us. We never felt rushed and we all left satisfied.
Terrible I ordered a cheesesteak deluxe food came sandwich had no mayo called to get a new sandwich they told me that all their sandwiches are made with mayo......as Im staring at this dry ass sandwich!!!!! They didnt try to resolve anything just telling me im wrong and getting my number to call me back I wish i could post pics
I ate at the South Norfolk location on Berkley Ave. August 25th 2017. It was my first time having NY pizza. It was delicious, but the place was shamefully nasty. The floors had dust, dirt and trash on them. The tables were filthy. There were flies all over the place. I hope all of your restaurant aren't like this. Perhaps it looks like this because it was in South Norfolk, but the people (the proud residents) of this community deserve better.
